Whitney Spear

History Cherokee

Development Manager

Driven by a deep passion for community service, Whitney has devoted her life and career to public service. She feels deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve her local community at History Cherokee.

Whitney turned her passion into purpose by earning a BS in Human Services from Kennesaw State University, specializing in Nonprofit Management and Social Innovation. She later earned a Master’s in Public Administration from Kennesaw State University, furthering her commitment to public service. Following the completion of her studies, Whitney has worked in institutions of higher education including Kennesaw State University and Reinhardt University. She has also served a volunteer for a number of nonprofit organizations.

Whitney’s commitment to serving others is not just a value, but a way of life. She actively seeks opportunities, both professionally and personally, to live out this principle. As a testament to this, she is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Canton, serves on the board of directors for the Cherokee County Educational Foundation, and holds the position of Vice President of the Cherokee Warriors Touchdown Club.

When Whitney isn’t working or serving others, she enjoys watching football, spending time with her high school sweetheart and loving husband Jonathan, and cheering on her kids in their extracurricular activities.
