Spotlight on Key Team Members
Mella Maddox, Lead Case Manager for Goshen New Beginnings
“I came to Goshen Valley during my senior year of undergraduate studies after attending an informal job fair, where I learned about this incredible nonprofit in Waleska dedicated to transforming the lives of foster youth. I felt an immediate connection and knew I belonged there. I began my internship with Goshen in the summer of 2012, and twelve years later, I couldn’t be more grateful to still be part of this mission. Working at Goshen has been a blessing; the organization has made an indelible mark on the community through its unwavering commitment to vulnerable youth and families. Being part of this team brings me profound peace and purpose, and I am inspired every day by the difference we make together.”
Kay Morris, Clinical Director for Goshen Therapeutic Services
“I love working for Goshen Valley because it allows me to contribute to meaningful causes and make a tangible difference in people’s lives. The work is deeply fulfilling, driven by a shared commitment to social good rather than profit. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to innovate, collaborate, and grow, all while remaining focused on the mission of creating positive change. The sense of community and purpose at Goshen Valley fosters a unique kind of job satisfaction, knowing that my efforts are directly impacting the lives of those in need and advancing causes I am passionate about.”
Jamie Crews, Case Management Supervisor for Goshen Homes
“Growing up, I have always had a passion for working with youth and advocating for vulnerable populations. After spending a few years with the Department, my path crossed with Goshen’s. Shortly after, I had the opportunity to work at Goshen. It seemed like a perfect fit, as I come from a sibling group of four, and would continue working closely with youth experiencing foster care. Being a part of this team is something I am most proud of.”
Josh Williamson, Facilities Director for Goshen Valley Boys Ranch
“God dropped me at Goshen Valley at a crossroads point in my life. I had just moved my family to the US from (what I had assumed) was a lifelong calling to the mission field. In the midst of searching for God’s next step I applied for a Case Management position at the Ranch as I had always wanted to work at a place like this and figured this would be a good foot-in-the-door opportunity. Six months and many God-ordained moments later I was directing the formation of a facilities department for the Ranch. Besides the joy of being my dream job, this time at Goshen has been so full of God-inspired situations that I can truly say God has been using this experience to both heal and shape my life. The community I experience daily at the Ranch that is both professional and personal is not found in very many places. I see God at work all the time in what we do here at Goshen, and I am grateful to be a part of seeing this organization continue to grow and flourish.”
