Nurturing Communities

Supporting the Circle of Care Around Foster Youth

At Goshen Valley, we believe strong families build strong communities—and we know that the path to stability for foster youth doesn’t begin and end with a placement. It requires a committed network of support surrounding both the children in care and the families working toward reunification.

That’s why we created the Family Resource Center: to be a bridge between crisis and stability, walking alongside those who are most vulnerable—biological families working to reunify, kinship caregivers stepping in during emergencies, and youth navigating complex systems.

Walking with Families in Hard Seasons

Every child who enters foster care has a story shaped by trauma and adversity. But behind each of those stories is a family that needs support—not judgment—to find healing. Through the FRC, Goshen Valley provides wraparound care to those families, offering both tangible resources and relational support to help prevent future crises and promote lasting change.

The Power of Hidden Resources

Many families don’t know what’s available to them—or don’t know where to begin. That’s where we step in, helping uncover and connect them to meaningful resources, including:

  • Free food pantry and diaper banks
  • Therapy and mental health support
  • Parenting classes and coaching
  • Mentorship and community-based services
  • Enrichment opportunities for youth

These aren’t handouts. They’re investments in long-term transformation—making it more likely that families can stay together or reunite with a stronger foundation.

Bridging the Gap Between Need and Support

Through partnerships with local nonprofits, churches, and civic organizations, we’ve created a hub of connection where families can access care without stigma or red tape. Whether someone needs groceries, guidance, or simply someone to listen, we’re here to meet them where they are—with dignity and purpose.

What’s Next

As we look ahead, Goshen Valley is committed to growing the impact of the Family Resource Center—offering more families the support they need to keep kids safe and cared for. But we can’t do it alone.
