Matt Barnes is the Managing Partner of Workfast Consulting, a veteran-owned consulting firm based in Canton, Georgia. With more than 20 years of diverse leadership, management, continuous improvement, and coaching experience, Matt has helped businesses across the U.S. and internationally connect strategy with execution. He specializes in helping people and companies accomplish strategic initiatives and has served in fractional executive roles, including Chief of Staff and COO capacities.
Matt’s approach centers on aligning people, processes, and technology to drive sustainable growth. His clients—ranging from startups to Fortune 500 firms—value his ability to simplify complexity, build alignment across teams, and deliver results with clarity and confidence. He serves his clients through initiatives focused on AI integration, operational excellence, leadership development, and workforce transformation.
Prior to founding Workfast Consulting, Matt held numerous leadership roles including Vice President of Operations at Peak Technologies, Director of Operations Management at TransMontaigne Partners, and U.S. Naval Officer (Lieutenant), with assignments at Naval Mobile Construction Battalion SEVEN and the Camp David Presidential Retreat.
Matt earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Licenses and certifications earned include: Professional Engineer license (inactive), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (inactive), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA).
